Inflammation causes disease but YOU can help you

There are a variety of ways that our bodies can naturally reduce the inflammation in the body. It CANNOT be totally removed though because it is a natural and essential part of our homeostasis - the balance we naturally align with. What we don’t want is TOO much of it - as then the inflammation chemicals eg histamine etc go and cause mischief and lead to PAIN, SWELLING and HEAT locally or throughout the body.

In this video I expound more about certain foods and food groups which can make a radical difference by using them regularly in our DIET that can reduce the inflammatory loading.

So here is a short summary about the video content:

  1. Berries - in all colours have strong anthocyanins in them which reduce inflammation and aid tissue repair.

  2. Spices and certain plants eg ginger, black pepper and turmeric - especially good for gut issues.

  3. Cacao - NOT chocolate, or at least not the very sweet / refined variety!

  4. Omega 3 essential fatty acids - I ONLY recommend ONE supplement - Neolife Salmon Oil Plus - now in the clinic for this as it is the only one with NO contaminants and ALL 8 of theOmega-3 family of oils in it. Safe for pregnant women too.

  5. Extra Virgin Olive Oil - for salad dressing and low heat cooking (EVOO)

  6. Nuts and seeds but be sure to know which ones work the best!

So hopefully you can see how and why dietary changes can 1. reduce the production of inflammation and 2. help the body to remove it more quickly and efficiently. None of these changes are especially difficult or onerous either - they may take a while for the taste buds to adjust though eg less sugary foods.
